You made it! The first couple of days are an exciting time for everyone! You and your host family need to get to know each other. Especially the kids will be very curious getting to know their new Au Pair. It usually takes some time to acclimate in your new home and surrounding, but don’t worry, in a couple of weeks you’ll feel at home.
Usually, one host parent is going to stay home with you for the first days. They will show you how things work, where your host children’s school is and other important things. Don’t hesitate to ask many questions! Your host parents will appreciate it.
